Loved this survey of patriotic spots in Virginia and North Carolina. I live near Charlottesville and Monticello. Did you notice on Jefferson’s grave marker that he died on July 4th. (So did John Adams in Massachusetts ). And the McLean house at Appomattox where the surrender was signed belonged to a man whose home had been at bull run site of the first battle.

Virginia is for Lovers…Lovers of History, Beaches, Great Skyline Drives, etc., etc., et
After raising our family here, venteured on a Hawiian Island Hopping vacation. I am mobily impared, and use a walker constantly. The SB, First Class Set, was my Life-saver! It walked along side me like a well trained doggie. I pushed the Walker with one hand and the combo set, lightly handeled, strolled along side me. Whether I was catching a plane or checking into a hotel the set I could manage without bothering anyone. Your luggage, like you, is magical. Thank you! Virginia ‘Ole Gal

Thanks Samantha for posting this. Virginia is a gem indeed! We’ve lived here for ten yrs now ( moved down from N.H.) and we have loved every minute, so many fun things to do, we can always find something new for a day trip or weekend get away ! We live in the Richmond area so we are smack in the middle of Civil War history, the James River, 2hrs to DC, Beach, or SNP. ( the Richmond Folk Festival in early October is a blast , and is one of the largest in the country! ) plan a trip ! See you there ! Jim & Lisa 🙂
